What's in the bag?

When we say 100% whey protein, we mean it. There is nothing else in the bag other than premium quality, natural protein powder. During manufacturing, a negligible amount (about 1%) of lecithin is added so that the powder will mix easily. Boomers add no flavouring, sweetener, bulking agents, additives, preservatives or anything else. Boomers is just the good stuff – Nothing else!

Boomers Quality Assurance & Production

We ensure all our suppliers maintain the integrity of our protein all through production via the most delicate extraction method - ultra-filtration and cross-flow microfiltration. The manufacturing process is all done cold so that the result is all-natural whey protein, abundant in naturally-occurring branched-chain amino acids (BCAA’s) and 3 essential amino acids that produce glutathione which is vital for recovery, growth and disease resistance.

Some suppliers blend their protein powders with cheap fillers – Boomers Protein, however, has always been pure, since we were established in 1997.

A commonly asked question is what is the difference between Boomers Whey Protein Isolate (WPI) and Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC)?

They are similar products and it essentially boils down to personal preference and budget. WPC requires less processing during manufacture and so it is less expensive. Some people prefer WPC over WPI for these reasons. When whey protein powder is made, the filtration process removes some of the naturally occurring carbohydrate and fat. For WPI, additional filtration occurs to remove almost all of the carbohydrate and fat in order to “isolate” the protein.

It is common to hear that WPC is for adding weight and WPI is for “leaning out” or that WPI is “better” than WPC. The facts are that the average difference will be only a few kcal per serve (depending on the brand) so in reality, both can be used for either goal.
